Harbor House

With office locations in Appleton and Chilton, Wisconsin, Harbor House Domestic Abuse Programs is the singular agency in Outagamie and Calumet counties committed to the awareness and prevention of domestic abuse. They provide safe shelter, safety planning, individual counseling, support groups, and an assortment of other support services to those experiencing domestic abuse.

With such an important mission, we felt it was crucial that their website do three things extremely well:

• Highlight Harbor House’s brand messaging of “Help. Haven. Hope.”
• Make it easy for those dealing with domestic abuse to find assistance, resources, and programming.
• Make it easy for community members to show their support through donations or volunteering.

Beyond that, we also gave them a website that:

• Looks good on a variety of screen sizes, from smartphones to tablets to desktop devices.
• Includes plenty of social media integration to facilitate social sharing of data, research, and other content.
• Is optimized for popular search terms related to domestic abuse services and the Harbor House brand.
• Is accessible to users with disabilities, and includes content in English, Spanish, and Hmong.
